A study on revitalization of recruiting doctors, on the basis of a physician survey on correctional health care
Abstract
Medical department, Korean correctional facility still suffer from shortage of physicians, and face great pressure of recruiting doctors. The goal of this study was to identify how to improve job satisfaction of physicians, and to investigate what they want, how they think in their workplace. On the basis of the answer of these question, Recruitment Strategies could be achieved.A total of 57 physicians responded from the 35 institutions. The data were analyzed by frequency analysis and descriptive analysis using SPSS version 13. These results suggest that the job satisfaction should be improved by reforming working conditions and, the organizational culture should be changed by empathy for inmate, mutual respect between co-workers. Positive attitude toward this change will lead our current physicians into recommending this job to their seniors and juniors.
